i never behold the quivering rain
you cannot touch the same water twice
the sky covering me like a second skin
leaving me wallowing in layers
of “could’ve”, “should’ve” and “would’ve”
shrouded in the mists of time
melting words
where do they rest?
enveloped in the blissful touches of the fading dusk
i must go down to the seas again
